Wolff Pushes Ahead With Beacon Hill MXU in Waller
By PAUL BUBNY
Wolff Companies launched development of Beacon Hill, a 521-acre development in Waller, with an announcement that the Texas Department of Transportation had approved building a new exit off U.S. 290 to provide direct access to the mixed-use complex. Construction on the interchange is expected to be completed in 2023.
“The availability of large tracts of land, the quality of the local school district, crucial access to utilities and improved mobility have placed Waller County in the path of growth, not unlike the opportunity we saw years ago along I-10 in the Energy Corridor,” Wolff Companies president David Wolf said Tuesday.
The development will feature a business park on the 251 acres abutting the freeway with uses ranging from light industrial and distribution to office, multifamily and retail. Additionally, the tract’s northernmost 270 acres were purchased by Houston-based Long Lake Ltd. to develop a master-planned residential community featuring approximately 1,000 homes.
