HBJ reveals honorees for inaugural Family-Owned Business Awards
The Houston Business Journal has named the honorees for its inaugural Family-Owned Business Awards.
The 68 companies that were chosen by HBJ staff demonstrated both financial success and commitment to the Houston community. The companies were separated into categories based on the number of employees. All nominees were required to meet three criteria to be considered:
- Be at least 51% owned by the family.
- Have multiple generations involved in the operations of the company and/or have established longevity in business.
- Located in one of the Houston area’s 10 counties: Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Montgomery, San Jacinto and Waller counties.
The honorees will be recognized at an in-person event on June 15 at 11 a.m. at the Marriott Marquis Houston and featured in a special section of the HBJ’s June 16 weekly edition.
