Wednesday’s Grand Opening of Compass Bank at the intersection of University Boulevard and State Hwy 6 South, just a block from U.S. 90-A deposits a new branch bank in the middle of robust retail and medical businesses. First Crossing is a 65-acre, master-planned business development by Wolff Companies that anchors the northern end of the Sugar Land 6 Commercial Corridor.  The Corridor is that portion of State Highway 6 from the US 59 interchange to US 90-A, in the center of Sugar Land.

Compass joins Texas State Bank, and Chase Bank, both of whom have developed a major presence in First Crossing.

In other First Crossing News …The recent opening of the 75,000-square foot Kelsey–Seybold medical center developed by Transwestern Commercial Services and designed by Kirksey Architects brought world-class healthcare to the corridor.

By following the footsteps of other successful Wolff Companies developments, and being a major part of the Sugar Land 6 Commercial Corridor’s growth, First Crossing went from inception to sell-out in six years.

Every Wolff Companies property enforces strict development guidelines.  High standards for signage, landscaping and architecture enhance the area’s appeal as a place to do business. Causing more than 1,000 trees to be planted on the First Crossing site won Wolff Companies honors from Trees for Houston.

Major First Crossing owners include Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, Texas State Bank, Chase Bank, Compass Bank and Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, an affiliate of the St. Luke’s Hospital System. The planned extension of University Boulevard southward to U.S. 59 will only strengthen the appeal of First Crossing’s desirable location.
