Expansion of Park Row Improves Mobility and Access In and Around Park 10
In a public/private venture with Harris County Pct. 3, Wolff Companies and other landowners have contributed the right-of-way and a portion of the construction costs to extend Park Row through the Ten Oaks section of a new Medical Center – West, a 170-acre complex which is home to the Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus and The Methodist Hospital West Campus. The expansion of Park Row is critical based on the significant population growth in west Houston, and commercial and retail development within the immediate area. Park 10, Wolff Company’s 550-acre master-planned, regional business center located immediately east of Ten Oaks in the West Houston Energy Corridor, is bustling with development.
The Reserve at Park 10 will be powered with 100 percent renewable energy.
Four New Facilities. Construction is moving rapidly on several buildings, totaling more than 266,000 square feet, along Park Row. The Reserve at Park 10, a 150,000 sq. ft., Class A office building developed by Woodcreek Development is nearing completion. Yancey-Hausman has completed a 32,000 sq. ft., 2-story building for Epic Energy’s new headquarters, located at the southwest corner of Park Row and South Creek Drive. Across South Creek Drive from Epic’s building, the National Association of Corrosion Engineers has expanded its campus, adding an 18,000 sq. ft., 2-story building. Sercel, a worldwide leader in the seismic industry, is adding a 66,000 sq. ft. building to its headquarters at Park Row and Houston Chronicle Boulevard, rounding out its campus at over 300,000 sq. ft., situated on 27 acres.
Park 10 is home to Epic Energy’s headquarters.
Hospitality Development Booms. To meet the growing needs in the Energy Corridor, several retail and hospitality developments are breaking ground in Park 10. Western International is finalizing plans for a 120-room Residence Inn by Marriott. The new hotel will be located at the northeast corner of Barker-Cypress Road and Park Row, within walking distance to major employers including Wood Group and Mustang Engineering.
Western International is also constructing a new full-service Marriott in the Corridor on the south side of I-10 near the intersection of Park Ten Boulevard.
The result of significant growth, the National Association of Corrosion Engineers completes construction on additional space.
Cottrell Development recently announced another restaurant tenant, Azzarelli’s, in Bally Park 10 Center at I-10 and Barker Cypress Road. The new eatery joins a number of other restaurants including Ruby Tuesday’s, The Far Seas Grill andFirehouse Subs.
And, the City of Houston has begun construction of a new Fire Station, No. 90 on Park Row in Park 10. The $5.3 million station is slated to be completed February of 2010.
