Define Living Expands With Second Wellness-Focused Development in Houston –

Christine Serlin, Multifamily Executive

Define Living, a wellness-centered multifamily brand, has acquired a 10.4-acre site in Houston’s Energy Corridor from Wolff Cos. Located in the Central Park neighborhood, the property will serve as the brand’s second residential community, Define Living: Park Row.

The site is part of Houston-based Wolff Cos. Central Park master-planned community, the largest remaining parcel of land available for development in the Energy Corridor. With the acquisition by Define Living, also based in Houston, only one remaining parcel remains in the master plan. In addition to Define Living: Park Row, the master plan includes the 342-unit Vista at Park Row and the MD Anderson Cancer Center. Central Park is adjacent to Terry Hershey Park and Addicks Reservoir, ensuring that over half of the master plan will be bordered by green space.

Set to break ground later this year, the four-story Define Living: Park Row will comprise 388 one- and two-bedroom apartments ranging between 657 and 1,089 square feet. Core to the community will be a focus on resident well-being.

“Central Park’s proximity to the abundant greenspaces of Addicks Reservoir and Terry Hershey Park and connectivity to Bayou Greenway’s miles and miles of hike and bike trails made the Wolff Cos.’ property an ideal site for Define Living, whose company vision and mission focus on well-being,” says Carolyn Wolff Doros, executive vice president of Wolff Cos. “Wolff Cos. has a long history of creating spaces in the Energy Corridor that enhance the lives of those who live, work, and play there. We see working with Define Living to bring their vision of a healthy residential community to life as the next step in that legacy.”

Define Living: Park Row follows the success of the firm’s flagship Houston community, 1888 Brittmoore, which welcomed its first residents in early 2024.

“Define Living is helping residents feel healthier, happier, and more connected by making well-being a natural part of daily life,” says founder Henry Richardson. “Our apartments, amenities, and community experiences create an environment where people can truly thrive—not just live.”

According to Richardson, the well-being focus and personal touch resonates with residents at 1888 Brittmoore. Define Living: Park Row will go beyond that with broader offerings and closer connections to natural trails, cycling, and hiking. Residences will include gourmet kitchens with stainless steel appliances, in-unit washers and dryers, walk-in closets, private patios, natural light, and a range of price points. In addition, it also will feature exclusive wellness amenities, such as DEFINE fitness classes, indoor cycling and yoga studios, a state-of-the-art fitness center, an infrared sauna and cold plunge, a resort-style pool, two pickleball courts, a dog park, fresh juice for post-workout recovery, and a personal well-being coach for every resident.

“With wellness programming for all ages, a built-in sense of community, and a location central to Houston’s business and outdoor hubs, Define Living: Park Row is setting a new standard for apartment living,” Richardson adds. “We look forward to welcoming new residents and creating an environment where they can reach new levels of well-being.”

Partners include Mucasey & Associates as architect and Blazer Building as the general contractor. The on-site clubhouse is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2026, with the residential buildings slated to follow.

“We’ve been approached by other developers interested in bringing our health and wellness concept to their futures,” notes Richardson. “We are looking forward to expanding our brand in the years to come.”
