Welcome to Liendo Park

Liendo Park is a 71-acre development located at the interchange of U.S. 290 and Liendo Parkway, between Hempstead and Prairie View, and a home to the Prairie View Cricket Complex.

Overview

Because it is located on U.S. 290 east of the State Highway 6 North interchange, Liendo Parkway benefits not only from the growing traffic between Houston and north Austin, but also the increasing number of people traveling between Houston and Bryan-College Station, home to Texas A&M University, the state’s oldest public university.

In January of 2018, Houston businessman Tanweer Ahmed purchased all 71 acres to develop the Prairie View Cricket Complex. As of July 2022, 14 cricket grounds were opened at the venue. This “one of a kind” cricket complex, has since become the first official Major League Cricket National Cricket Center, and, as part of a joint-venture deal, plans on adding eight new turf practice nets and wickets, upgrading three cricket pitches to a high-quality natural turf wicket, and building a cricket pavilion, which will cater for both men and women players. Once completed, will be the largest in the United States.
