Biography
David V. Gaffney joined Wolff Companies in 2018 and serves as the Controller. He is responsible for the management of the company’s financial asset and real estate portfolios as well as strategic planning, land management, accounting, tax, human resources, treasury, and information technology.

Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Gaffney graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2010 having majored in Economics and European Studies. He also holds a Masters in Accounting from Vanderbilt’s Owen Graduate School of Business, where he graduated with honors. He is licensed as a CPA in Texas (active) and in Pennsylvania (inactive).
Prior to joining Wolff Companies, Mr. Gaffney was the Director of Finance for JCP Investment Management LLC, an SEC-registered private investment fund in Houston Texas. He also worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Philadelphia and Houston, with an emphasis on real estate and alternative asset management clients. Other experience includes internships for Insana Capital Partners in Fort Lee NJ, Société Générale in London UK, and Laffer Associates in Nashville TN.
He is active in local community affairs serving as a lector for St. Michael Catholic Church, where he sits on the Pastoral Council. He is also a board member for his neighborhood homeowner’s association, in addition to the nine other property owners’ association boards he leads on behalf of Wolff Companies.
Mr. Gaffney enjoys spending his free time with his three young children.
