Bridgeland begins sales, names homebuilders in final village

Suburban home buyers in northwest Houston will soon have new option with the opening of Creekland Village, the fourth and final village in the Bridgeland master-planned community that could ultimately bring 3,000 homes to Cypress.
Model homes are expected to be completed in late spring in the village, which offers lot sizes from 28 feet to 50 feet, according to the Howard Hughes Corp., developer of Bridgeland. Home prices will start in the $290,000s.
Homebuilders includes Beazer Homes, Century Communities, Chesmar Homes, Coventry Homes, Gehan Homes, Lennar, Perry Homes and Westin Homes.
“We are proud to continue our partnership with some of Houston’s top-rated homebuilders who understand the needs of current and future Bridgeland residents,” Steve Sams, senior vice president at MPC Residential for Howard Hughes Corp. said in an announcement. “Howard Hughes remains deeply committed to creating forward-thinking, environmentally sustainable master planned communities, and Creekland will embody that philosophy.”
The community is coming online as higher interest rates have pushed buyers out of the market. Even with a drop in sales, Bridgeland was among the nation’s top-selling communities, ranking No. 20 with nearly 570 sales in 2022, down 20 percent from 2021, according to RCLCO, a real estate consulting firm based in the Washington, D.C. area.
Creekland Village spans nearly 2,300 acres in the northwest quadrant of Bridgeland. It is just north of Prairieland Village, which opened west of the Grand Parkway last year. A grand opening will be held this spring.
In addition to residential, Creekland will offer 40 acres of future commercial opportunities. The community is served by Waller ISD and will also house a campus for Harmony Public Schools in 2025.
