“We are honored to earn this designation from the West Houston Association.  It directly recognizes our consistent development philosophy: create high-caliber, sound developments that foster strong, long-term real estate investments and contribute in a positive manner to our built environment,” said David S. Wolff, Chairman and President of Wolff Companies.  “We know that it is essential to create projects that enhance the quality of life of our tenants, residents and the community at large.  We’re proud to be a member of the West Houston community and to play a role in its continued growth.

The designations were announced by Peter Houghton, Chairman of the Board of the West Houston Association, at a reception held at the Houston Marriott Westchase on Thursday, March 27.

“Our Quality Planned Development program was created to enhance the quality of growth and development in West Houston.  We believe that these elements, when designed into a residential or commercial development, attract a substantial number of buyers seeking better, protected value,” said Houghton.  “Wolff Companies’ Westway Park and Ten Oaks business parks are two outstanding examples of developments, designed to high standards, which have attracted quality businesses and a highly skilled workforce to our area and contributed to the overall growth of our city.”

Westway Park is a 150-acre office park located at the intersection of the Sam Houston Tollway and Clay road, between Interstate 10 and U.S. 290.  The Sam Houston Tollway, is one of the fastest developing technology corridors in the country.  Westway Park is home to a number of Houston’s leading corporations including GE Oil & Gas, OneSubsea, Travelers, Seismic Exchange and Superior Energy Services.

High standards for architecture, landscaping and signage all contribute to an excellent business environment as demonstrated in Wolff Companies’ Westway Park at Beltway 8 and Clay Road in West Houston.

Ten Oaks is a planned business environment that includes the Texas Medical Center – West Campus, whose first phase is comprised of major health care facilities built by Texas Children’s Hospital and Houston Methodist Hospital who, together have already committed more than half a billion dollars.  Located at the northwest intersection of Park Row and Barker Cypress Road, Ten Oaks is the western anchor of The Energy Corridor, the central business district in the Greater West Houston metropolitan area.  Numerous corporate or division headquarters for major companies such as BP, ConocoPhillips, Shell Oil and many others are also in the immediate vicinity of Ten Oaks.  Major employers are attracted by convenient access to the well-educated workforce found surrounding The Energy Corridor and the variety and quality of housing opportunities in the area.
