Transwestern secures first tenants for Energy Corridor complex

Although two engineering firms have just signed on as anchor tenants inTranswestern’s newest Energy Corridor office complex, the Houston-based real estate firm said it would have pushed forward with the project, regardless.

Transwestern broke ground Sept. 13 on the three buildings planned for the site, which has been dubbed Westgate. The first two are slated for completion in late 2013, with the third building estimated to wrap up in the first quarter of 2014. Currently, there is more than 20 million square feet of office space in the corridor, but breathing room is still tight.
