Westway Park Boulevard Extension to Improve Area Traffic Circulation

A plan to extend Westway Park Boulevard northward will improve access to the park’s amenities and overall traffic circulation in the area. The extension project is expected to begin in the summer of 2016.

According to David W. Hightower, Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer of Wolff Companies, “The extension will improve access to Westway Park and allow more people to easily reach its offices, hotels and retail.” Specifically, the new connection will allow drivers to access Westway Park via the new Tanner exit ramp and avoid the busy intersection at Beltway 8 and Clay Road.

Wolff Companies’ original master plan for Westway Park provided for the eventual street extension knowing it would be important for the area’s long term success. Mr. Hightower adds, “It is important, especially in today’s environment, to continue to make investments in infrastrcture and improve mobility and connectivity in the business parks we have developed and continue to manage.”

When completed, Westway Park Blvd. will improve access to Westway Park and circulation in the area.
Westway Park is a 150-acre, master-planned office park, located at the intersection of the Sam Houston Tollway and Clay Road, between Interstate 10 and U.S. 290. The development includes offices for OneSubsea, GE Oil & Gas, Travelers, Schneider Electric, PLC and Superior Energy Services, hotels and retail services.
