University Boulevard Extension A Welcome Improvement

At Wolff Companies, we take responsibility as a developer to put our voice and support behind transportation improvement projects that are good for our communities, which includes the recently completed extension of University Boulevard from State Highway 6 to U.S. Highway 90A.  This improvement, as well as our support of other projects such as the completion of Park Row, greatly enhance mobility and relieve congestion.

The $5 million University Boulevard project provides a north-south corridor connecting State Highway 6 from the Southwest Freeway to U.S. Highway 90A.  University Boulevard is one of several projects included in the Fort Bend County Mobility Program and its Transportation Improvement Program as well as the City’s Master Thoroughfare Plan.

The project was jointly funded by the Texas Department of Transportation, Fort Bend County and the City of Sugar Land.

Efforts are currently underway to extend University Boulevard even further north, across the Union Pacific right-of-way, through The Imperial development and on to Burney Road.  This project is in the design phase, in coordination with Union Pacific Railroad, Nalco Champion and The Imperial.
