Houston Apartment Association Moving To Westway Park

The  Houston Apartment Association (HAA) becomes the seventh major organization to select Westway Park, as the location for a corporate, regional or division headquarters. The Association has just purchased a 2-acre site in the  Wolff Companies development at the intersection of the West Sam Houston Tollway and Clay Road, as the site of its new offices.

The new HAA setting on  Westway Park Boulevard is squarely between the Western Hemisphere headquarters for global instrumentation and controls company Invensys, and the global headquarters of BJ Services. Both corporate buildings are under construction. Invensys is on track for a late 2005 opening. The new HAA headquarters will face  MedLeh Group’s new 18,860 square foot technology center, which will be one of Houston ‘s first “Green Buildings” as certified by the U.S. Green Building Council. MedLeh has broken ground and projects a July 2006 completion.

Jeff Hall and HAA board member H.J. Tollett represented the buyer. Wolff Companies was represented by David W. Hightower. Osborn & Vane Architects, Inc. are designing the 18,000 (+/-) square foot building.Construction is nearing completion on Invensys‘ 93,000 sq. ft. office building.

Westway Park continues to attract headquarters developments to its world-class corporate environment . With more than 230,000 square feet of new construction in the pipeline for this year, Westway Park alone will deliver more new office space than was leased in the entire city of Houston in 2004.

BJ Services‘ 75,000 sq. ft. office building is nestled on a heavily wooded site

More than 75 percent of the sites in Westway Park land have been sold, and are occupied by leading companies such as the Cameron Division of Cooper-CameronStewart TitleP&O Nedloyd and Nextel. Sought-after amenities include the class-A multifamily development, The Broadstone at Westway Park, aLa Quinta Inn and Suites hotel and The Plazas at Westway Park, an upscale retail development by Vista Equities.

A few prime sites with Tollway frontage are still available, as are wooded locations, including one bordering the award-winning Carolyn Wolff Park nature preserveClick here for more details about Westway Park.
