Construction and Acquisition Spurs Activity in Wolff Companies’ Park 10
Wolff Companies’ Park 10 Regional Business Center, a 550-acre mixed use business environment located in the heart of The Energy Corridor, has become a focal point of activity with construction underway at Top Golf and the recent acquisition of two buildings by Hicks Venture Ltd. equaling a total of 141,265 square feet. According to a recent interview in the Houston Chronicle, Hicks plans to invest $1.6 million in improving the Park 10 properties. Rudy Hubbard and Leah Gallagher of Jones Lang LaSalle represented the building owner, American Spectrum Realty.
The Park 10 location will be Top Golf’s first Houston facility.
Top Golf, a premier entertainment complex scheduled to open its first Houston location later this year in the Park 10, provides a unique experience to its patrons by combining innovative point scoring golf games, a menu featuring a modern twist and signature cocktails, as well as miniature golf and batting cages. Designed for both experienced and amateur golfers, players’ skills will be put to the test as they are challenged to hit special golf balls containing microchips into one of eleven targets ranging from 25 to 250 yards away. No longer will players need to be bothered with the task of keeping score with pencil and paper, as scores based on distance and accuracy to the hole will be electronically read and sent to a screen at their hitting bays. While the game is high-tech, it is not to be confused with a virtual game, as players use actual clubs to hit real golf balls onto the state-of-the-art “fairway.”
Top Golf joins a variety of recreational activities offered in the area including the Alkek Velodrome, Bear Creek Golf Course, and the American Shooting Center. While there are numerous public and private golf courses in the area, Top Golf is the perfect place to work on your game on those 100+ degree days in Houston.
