Wolff Cos. buys sought-after land in Energy Corridor

David Wolff, who has developed more than 1,000 acres along the Interstate 10 corridor in west Houston over the past 40 years, just acquired a coveted 66-acre tract in his favorite part of town.

The head of Houston-based Wolff Cos. is not saying what he plans to do with the Energy Corridor acreage he bought, but if history is any indication, it could ultimately be sold off piece by piece to developers of office, industrial, hotel and multifamily space.
